Which is better: to be the smartest kid in the
room, or the wisest adult?
Why is our society so infatuated with the
notion of being the smartest, when we falter as a nation because of a lack of wisdom?I read of "leaders" C-level engagements and
severance parachutes so stratospheric that the word “golden” is a failing description.Where is the wisdom in this?
It’s been said that if you’re the smartest kid
in the room, you’re likely in the wrong room. You should always be around people who
challenge you, who bring out the best in you and at the end of the day, you’re
proud of yourself for having met the challenge, even if you fail. It’s not always easy.Indeed,
while the Truth will set you free, sometimes it first makes you miserable.
Wisdom would say that you're exactly where you're supposed to be.Opportunities are there for those who see them- including those which lead to the way out.Just open your eyes.
